Week 1... COMPLETE!

We did it! Week one of home school is in the books. WE had a great time... definitely found some things I need to work on and change.

We learned how to use the public library.. they loved finding shelf numbers in the computer and being challenged with coming back with the correct book.

We found out that we love practicing our band instruments together.

I found out that I need to prove to my husband we can live on less money so that I can focus more time on this endeavor... I LOVE IT!

To end the week the girls made a pecan pie to close out their Alabama studies, and they did a great job!
I am excited to plan next week, and hope to make it even smoother than this week.

NEW YEARS!

Well here we are on New Years Eve.

Shavonna is in the living room floor with her friends that spent the night, still asleep. Not sure what time they went to bed.

Shanice is walking around wondering how long those little kids are going to sleep.

I am sitting here wondering what I will be thinking this time next year. You see, here in a few days I will begin homeschooling. I have been avoiding this decision for a long time. Not because I do not want to spend time with my kids, I love that. It was due to the fact I am terrified I am going to fail them. I know realize that fear was put there to keep me from sharing this time with my kids, this very important time when they need me more than ever. I am ignoring that now, and listening to THE ONE who finally got my attention..I can be pretty stubborn. I know God will guide this if only I allow Him. He will make it work!

Been a long time... many changes!

Hello again me, since it seems I am the only one that reads this.
I have a new job, and a new zest. I am going to start homeschooling after Christmas! I am so scared but so excited! I hope now I will have stuff to blog about! May even have my kiddos start a blog.

Shanice the REFEREE!

Ok. So a few months ago Shanice took a class to learn how to referee recreational soccer. I am soooo pround of her that she passed the class. She is now refereeing U6 games. I am a not allowing here to ref any older kids basically cause parents get real mean about that age and no one but me is going to yell at my daughter! : )

Anyway, she seems to be doing a really good job, learning more about the game and making a little spending money on the side. GOOD FOR HER!

Shoulder Normal????

OK, so MRI results came back as "unremarkable". Meaning I guess that there are no tears or anything. Then WHY does the thing keep dislocating? I guess the surgeon is going to consult with a shoulder specialist and tell us by the middle of next week what the game plan is!!!

OK... so lets talk about Shavonnas shoulder. Shavonna injured her shoulder back in January of 2007 in her 4 wheeler wreck. It was overlooked due to the concerns over head injuries. But, anyway here we are looking at surgery to repair it. It comes dislocated about 3-4 times a day some days. She had an arthrogram today and we get to go to the Dr. for those results. We do not want Shavonna to have surgery, but if it is necessary to get back to her activities it will be what has to be done.
